Post Number Six: Let Lovers Keep On Loving

Life went on and people wondered if there was something they could have done so the tragic event of young romeo and Juilet death had not occurred. Many things had changed in Verona, such as the large solid gold statues in the streets, the empty Friars cell, and the lovely sound of Juliets voice.

Friar Lawence was hated by all the citizens of Verona. They were all disgusted with the fact that an elder man would go behind the backs of adults to help young lovers with their forbidden marriage. By choice, the night of the deaths, the Friar packed his clothes, poisons, and potions and left the place he used to call home. Although the Friar was hated by everyone he did not hate himself. He felt like he did the right thing. He believed Romeo and Juliet were born to die. Maybe it was their fate to die so that the family feud would end.

The Capulets were very disappointed in Nurse. She was supposed to care and kept an eye on Juliet and she didn't do such a good job. The Capulets told Nurse to leave their house and not to bother coming back. With Juliet gone and no job, Nurse was beyond depressed. Juliet was like a friend and a daughter to Nurse, she was all she had. The apothecary was banished from Verona for giving Romeo poision and was told to leave right away with out his belongings. So that night Nurse planned to sleep in the woods since she had no house, but on the way she passed the apothecary's house. Nurse froze and wondered if she should enter. Two sentences ran through her head " He no longer lives here. It belongs to nobody, and it probably has a bed." So she entered the dark cold home, she laided down on the cot and tried to fall asleep. With all the crying she had been doing her throat she very dry and itchy. Nurse rose from the bed and made her way to the cabinets. She fiddled with the jars and mugs and wondered if they were filled with water. Finally she got tired of trying to find water and just took a little bottle and shuffled back over to the cot. Then she popped out the cork and took a large sip. Nurse fell fast asleep and never woke up again. It wasn't water after all!

The house of the Capulets was cold and lonely.  Lord Capulets blamed himself for the death of his daughter. He felt like he should have seen it coming and he cursed his hands for the times he hit juliet on her soft white cheek, and he wished to take back the words "My fingers  itch" (Shakespeare 214) Althought a time comes when you have to move on with life, so he did. Lord Capulet spent his days with his new friend Lord Montique. To wash away their woes they played chess and went hunting. They found out that they had a lot in common.

It took a lot of lives but the town of Verona finally learned to let the lovers keep on loving.

Post Five: Anger would Strike

I see the character Juliet as a fairy tale princess. She is wealthy, has all the beautiful gowns, and her husband is the most handsome man. She seems to fit in with all the other princess; also Juliet’s life has a twist. Her love with her husband is forbidden, and has to be kept as a secret. Both parents do not known about there love, so they arranged a wedding for Juliet and another handsome young man, Paris.

Both the Capulet and the Montague want there children to marry well. The parent would have never imaged there children would be marriage to each other. When Juliet explained a little of how she thought of Romeo she was told

                             "Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch!
                             I tell thee what: get thee to church o' Thursday, or never look
                             me in the face. Speak not, reply not, do not answer me!
                             My fingers itch. Wife, we scarce though us blest that God had

    lent us but this only child; but now I see this one is one too much

and that we have a curse in having her. Out on her, hilding!"

From this we can tell that lord Capulet is very upset with Juliet so upset that he was beating her (Shakespeare 214).  Can you imagine what would happen to Juliet if she was to that she was already married? I think that they would no longer treat Juliet as there daughter. Or they might even make her marry Paris still because they don't wont her in there house. I feel that the Montagues would act in the same way. Both Romeo and Juliet betrayed the re family.

If there marriage secret was told I think the parents would be in a rage! There would be yelling, screaming, slapping and punching. Maybe the families would go to the prince and ask there to be punishments. From reading the book I think that Juliet’s parents care more about whom there children is with. Although no matter how mad they are Romeo and Juliet will remain in love.

Lord Capulet is very upset with Juliet.

I think if the truth was told there would be lots of flighting between the familys.

Post Four: Guilty Romeo

Dear Diary,
The only second of happiness that I've had all day is opening up the dusty cabinet and see your brown leather cover. Ohh diary I have done the most terrible thing that one could do. I have killed my true loves cousin, Tybalt. I am covered with guilt from my head to my toes. Why, why am I not punished to death, but I banished. I should not be on earth if I am not with Juliet. This morning I thought my life took a turn for the better, but then what do I do? A murder, for all the times it was right after my wedding. Now my Juliet will be send to a church to marry someone and I will not be able to stop her.  Ohh I can't stop thinking about what I have done, I am hated by everyone, but my Juliet. The nights when I would go to her house and climb up the tree that sat right outside her room is over. The times we talk to each when she was on the balcony and I was on the ground, are over. Ohh I am monster, a murderer,
I have made my Juliet’s life so complicated.

Diary, I have thought of a plan, I will not fight for Juliet back, because fight is never in my interest, but I will sneak my Juliet back. I will wipe my tears away and think of a escape for Juliet... I have not thought of anything but then I think a plan my future will go along the line of this, Juliet and I will live in your large house right outside the a city, I will have the most beautiful gardens for my love. We will have lots of servants and three sons, they will all strong and smart. Juliet and I will live to are longest together and never to separated. Sounds like a dream life to me, so I must get Juliet to make that work.

Post Three: The Nurse and Friar's Involvement in the Secret Wedding

    Romeo and Juiet were madly in love although their families had been in a feud for decades, so it was forbidden for them to love. Romeo and Juiet did not care what their family thought, so Juiet told Nurse to go talk to Romeo to make meeting arrangements. When Nurse returned she said "Then hurry to Frair Lawrence cell. Then your husband waits to make you wife." Romeo and Juliet were not the only ones involved in the secret wedding, Nurse was involved too. I think it was the right thing to do for Nurse to help Juliet with her wedding because Nurse had worked for Juliet ever since she was a baby and so it is almost as if Juliet is her boss. It would be wrong for Nurse to not carry out that order and it would be inappropriate for her to have a say, even though they were very close.

  When Romeo and Juliet arrived at the Friar's cell, he was quite shocked to see that Romeo was in love once again, only days after having been in love with Rosaline. I disapprove of the Friars involvement with the secret wedding because I think he was only marrying them because he thought that it would end their family feud, not because of their love for each other. "Come! Come with me and we'll make this ceremony short." said Friar Loawrence.
